Thrush

Definition:

Thrush is a yeast infection that is caused by an overgrowth of Candida albicans, a fungus that lives naturally in the body. It’s not a sexually transmitted infection, but it can be passed on during sex. Common symptoms are white, cottage cheese-like discharge, vaginal itching and irritation, and discomfort and/or burning during intercourse and urination.
