Endometriosis

Definition:

A condition where tissue similar to the lining of the uterus is found in other parts of the body, such as the ovaries and fallopian tubes. It can cause pelvic pain, fertility issues, pain during and after sex, and pain during bowel movements. Endometriosis is the second most common gynaecological condition in the UK.
