Daye exists to raise the standards of women’s healthcare by creating sustainable, category-defining products and services that bridge the gender gap in research and innovation.
It’s a big mission, we know.
Everything we do at Daye is rooted in our mission, including our day to day life at Daye HQ. So, for the sake of radical transparency (more on that later), these are the values we live by to create the best consumer product and company culture—what we like to call Dayetopia. We like to think of these as the guiding principles of Daye.
Health on your terms
We recognise that the one-size fits-all healthcare model doesn’t work, because there is no one way to be healthy.
We go with your flow by delivering convenient, high-quality products that fit your needs and lifestyle, without compromising on your values. Our aim is to give women the tools they need to understand their bodies and be their own health advocates, which is why we see privacy and continuity as the bedrock of owning your health record—the central purpose of our digital platform.
Lifting the veil
We believe consumers should be able to make educated choices, but this can only be achieved if brands commit to radical transparency. We lift the veil on our supply chain and manufacturing process, and invite our community to know exactly what’s going on BTS of Daye.
We also believe medical research should be accessible for all, so why we make our own research and related scientific studies accessible and digestible to the non-medical community through our blog, Vitals.
Leave an impact, not a trace
We are committed to making our products and services as environmentally friendly as possible—recognising that this a continued effort. At Daye we believe that the onus of sustainability shouldn’t fall entirely on the consumer, but rather brands and manufacturers. That’s why we continuously invest in research and development to increase our sustainability standards, and offer products that are good for your body and the environment.
Bridge the gap
We believe female health is human health, so we're on a mission to overcome historical gender biases in medical research and product innovation. As an R&D company we reinvest profits in clinical trials and address the female issues that have been sidelined and dismissed by the medical community—especially when it comes to reproductive health. Starting with period pain...
Consumer first
We put the Daye consumer at the heart of every decision, because we exist to serve our community. We’re all ears—listening to women’s stories means we can strengthen our understanding of the pain points we seek to solve, improving the quality of our services. And because let’s face it, it’s time people started listening to women…
Science forward
As an R&D company, we make decisions based on data, evidence, and research. When there is no data to turn to (which is often the case when it comes to female reproductive health), we commit to a research plan and execute to the highest standard.
Everyone's an owner
Everyone on the team behaves as a stakeholder in Daye, and never say “That’s not my job.” If someone sees the ball drop in any area of the company, they are the first responder because we’re a proactive community, striving to find answers and solutions on our own before asking others for help— but we’re there for each other when need be.
Ego be damned
We're committed to continuous self-improvement and take responsibility for things that go wrong (pobody's nerfect, am I right?). Feedback and constructive criticism are always welcome because we’re big on personal development, and we’re confident in ourselves (which allows us to be comfortable when challenged).
Culture of excellence
We take pride in our work, never cutting corners (sloppiness upsets us), but we can’t be excellent without being healthy. We stay engaged, motivated, and driven by taking care of ourselves and others on the team—both mentally and physically.
Persistent AF
We pride ourselves on grit and are always determined to accomplish our goals, because we have the stamina to pursue them over a long period of time. If we had to build Daye again from scratch, we would—we're a strong ass team!
Forgo short-term gain for long-term benefit
We always have our eye on the bigger mission of Daye, and recognise that every decision is one step in a greater journey to fulfilling our mission, so we always consider the long-term impact of our decisions. This means we have the courage to do the right thing, even when it doesn’t serve the immediate bottom line. Because sometimes the right thing to do isn't the easiest.
Different paths to the same destination
We approach every conversation with the understanding that we’re all on the same team, because even though everyone may have a different perspective, we have a shared vision. We default to kindness even in times of stress, but never shy away from honest, even difficult, conversations or feedback.
