Frequently asked questions

Still have questions? Read all of our FAQs.

Daye Pads absorb fluid rapidly, which means you won’t leak through even if your pad is in a funny position. Our Regular Pads can absorb up to 200 ml of menstrual fluid (that’s like a small glass of water), while our Super Pads can take up to 235ml (about the same as a cup of coffee). If you’ve got a heavy flow or occasional incontinence, our Super Plus Pads can absorb the same amount of liquid as a whole can of soda — so you never have to worry about leakage.

Daye Liners are best suited for light bleeding (up to 10ml), like on the last day of your period.

Our pads feature a top layer made from biodegradable bamboo fibres, an intermediate layer crafted from sustainably sourced wood pulp, a biodegradable super absorbent polymer paper layer made from wood pulp and an eco-friendly starch base layer.

Our pads are 95% biodegradable and compostable in less than 154 days (or 22 weeks)

Currently, Daye Pads come in 4 different sizes: Liners (16 cm), Regular (24cm long), Super (29cm long), and Super Plus (35cm long).

Daye pads are proven to both biodegrade and compost within 154 days. (This is less time than it takes a banana or citrus peel to decompose)**.

Regardless of whether you throw your pad away in the regular waste bin, or put them in your compost, they won't produce microplastics.

The speed of degradation will depend on the conditions within the waste pile, including temperature, humidity and the specific composting practice implemented.

Please note that the biodegradability and compostability of our pads is tested under internationally recognised standards including  ISO16929 and ASTM D6868-03.

Yes, our pads have bio-based, compostable wings to help your pad stay in place during wear, regardless of the intensity of your movements. The wings also prevent your pad from scrunching up in your underwear during the day.

Daye pads do not contain any chlorine bleach.

The pads do not contain any CBD, because it's impossible to effectively administer the ingredient through the outside of your vulva (the labia). If you want to, you can pair the pads with our signature restorative CBD Balm. Simply wear the pads as per usual, and rub the balm onto your lower abdomen, or any other area that needs extra care, love, and affection.

Daye Pads are super thin, yet highly absorbent. Comprising organic bamboo fibres, wood pulp paper, 97% biodegradable superabsorbent polymer layer, and corn-based PLA, they minimise your environmental impact and help you leave an impact behind, rather than waste. Our pads are also manufactured in a clean, ISO-certified environment ensuring they minimise your risk of irritation.

Daye tampons are manufactured in accordance with medical device standards, including ISO13485 and GMP. In order for a diagnosis to be confirmed, test results from the Diagnostic Tampon should be considered by a licensed healthcare provider alongside a patient's symptoms and medical history. Like every other diagnostic test, lab results are not sufficient for a diagnosis. Daye offers customers the option to connect with independent CQC-regulated healthcare providers virtually and in-person for a confirmed diagnosis. All prescriptions and treatments provided through the Daye platform are issued by third-party, independent pharmacists, who are also regulated under CQC and GPhC.
