Elena Provaggi

Elena Provaggi is a Senior Design Engineer at Daye, driving innovation in material research and product development. Her work reflects a deep commitment to sustainability and advancing healthcare solutions.

After completing her BSc and MSc in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Genoa, Elena pursued a PhD at UCL, where she focused on optimising spinal implants for lumbosacral fusion, leveraging additive manufacturing and anatomical data to address variations across patient populations. Elena’s research spanned multiple disciplines, from tissue engineering labs to material characterisation and computational modeling, with published articles in peer-reviewed journals and presentations at international conferences.

After her PhD, Elena spent over three years in the London startup scene at Imperial College London, developing innovative knee meniscus implants. Now at Daye, she leverages her expertise to create products that transform women’s health.

Daye tampons are manufactured in accordance with medical device standards, including ISO13485 and GMP. In order for a diagnosis to be confirmed, test results from the Diagnostic Tampon should be considered by a licensed healthcare provider alongside a patient's symptoms and medical history. Like every other diagnostic test, lab results are not sufficient for a diagnosis. Daye offers customers the option to connect with independent CQC-regulated healthcare providers virtually and in-person for a confirmed diagnosis. All prescriptions and treatments provided through the Daye platform are issued by third-party, independent pharmacists, who are also regulated under CQC and GPhC.
